Matthew Matt James, born on December 5, 1991, in North Carolina. The son of Manny James, and Patty James of mixed race. He has the Nigerian father as well as a Caucasian mother. The father of his is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian american. He was a graduate of Sanderson High School in 2010, then went on to Wake Forest University, where earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in the year 2015. James gained fame after he appeared on screen for his debut on the reality star during The Bachelorette. James was chosen in the year 2020 to play the 25th season bachelor on The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The show debuted in on the 20th of January in. James was a perfect fit to the job because He is attractive, well-rounded and tall and has a sense of humor. Rachael Krkconnell was selected to be his partner for the season. He partnered with the famous dancer Arnold in 2021 to compete on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James along with Arnold finished 12th place.
